WHAT CLIENTS SAY

"

Working with Katharine helped me figure out what I wanted to be when I grew up.  She was able to help me ask questions of myself, revealing my life currency.  I was able to channel new understanding of things that excite me and the type of people I value [into] my ideal career progression.

I decided to work with a coach during a period in my career when I felt confused about my path, uncertain about the value I was adding and just in an overall “not so great” spot in my life. I also had a young son at home and the pressure of being a full-time working mother (“mom guilt”) was definitely real and contributing to my current state of dismay. Katharine’s expertise, her downright humbling nature and supportive were life-changing for me. Through her coaching, which was based on practical steps and homework between sessions, I was able to narrow in on the things that were holding me back and address the negativity and lack of self-confidence in my head.

Putting that aside, I was then able to pat myself on the back for the things that were good (great, actually) in my life both professionally & personally, reassess and refocus my attention. I know this may not seem mind-blowing, but, when you are in a rut, it truly is. Getting back on the “right” path seemed unattainable at times and it was only through Katharine’s coaching, talking through it, helping me to remove some of those self-induced barriers, that I was able to get back to what mattered. I am so very appreciative for Katharine’s support, her approach to coaching, her mindfulness and would definitely recommend her services to others.

As a coach, I was at an inflection point that required me to do some deep thinking about my own work and life and how to more fully integrate the two in an intentional way. I was looking for someone who could speak the acumen of business while understanding the nuance of toggling between the roles of professional, parent, partner, friend, daughter etc. Katharine's background in consulting as well as coaching was a draw for me.

Working with Katharine has been like taking a deep breath. I actually take a lot of deep breaths when we talk. I value the accountability she provides for me. As a coach, my own development and growth can sometimes get sidelined as I work to support others' ascent. I appreciate the tactical aspect at the close of our calls. The micro steps I am committing to are helping me build accountability to myself too.

I'm so grateful to Katharine for helping me kick-start a much-needed career shift.  When we worked together, I was entrenched in a dysfunctional start-up environment and taking care of two small children at home.  Her warmth, insight, and structure motivated me to stay accountable to the changes I needed and wanted to make.  My time with her was a much-needed reprieve from the chaos at work and at home -- and an opportunity to prioritize my own personal and professional development.  I am now happily working in a different industry with colleagues whose values are better aligned with my own, due in no small part of Katharine's support.
